2017 Winter Games
March 03-06, 2017
Welcome to the 2017 Winter Games!
Thank you for taking the time to volunteer with Special Olympics Washington! We really appreciate your help as we prepare for the 2017 Winter Games.
As a volunteer at the 2017 Winter Games you will be able to participate in a variety of events including the Opening Ceremonies, basketball, figure skating, cross country skiing, speed skating, downhill skiing and snowboarding competitions. Volunteers do not need experience in sports to help with these events but some positions will require certain skills or training. Please be mindful of these requirements as you create your schedule.
Upon check-in, volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and a volunteer credential that they will wear for the entirety of their shift. Food will be provided for volunteers at events where athletes are also being fed. Please plan on bringing your own snacks if you have specific dietary needs. All volunteers are expected to wear appropriate clothing depending on their appointed venue. For example, if you volunteer at a skiing event, please bring warm clothes and skis if necessary for your job.
To signup, please click REGISTER NOW to begin the process. If you are a returning volunteer and already have an account, please click Sign Up.
You will be directed to a page where you will select your registrant type. Please select which portal works best for you. If you are registering a group, you will need all group members’ names and contact information.
Any person under 18 will be required to go through the "Youth Volunteer" portal despite affiliation with a group. Volunteers 18 and under are required to have parent or guardian consent to volunteer and volunteers 14 and under are required to have an adult chaperone on site while volunteering. This chaperone is also required to register as a volunteer.
